Frequently Asked Questions

What the heck is a stylist anyway?

A stylist is your creative collaborator who takes your project to the next level. You’ve done the heavy lifting designing but the stylist brings the fresh eye and makes the project come alive for the camera.

I am an interior designer and never worked with a stylist before. How does the process work?

First, bravo for being smart and hiring one. Once the homeowner has agreed to the designer’s shoot date(s), send Frances this form to kick start the project. If she has availability, she’ll request scouting images of the project. She’ll also provide an estimate and set up a call to review the project together to discuss props/florals and create a shot list for the shoot. On the shoot day, the team will work together to create shots that capture the designer’s hard work. Boom.

I design for commercial spaces like a shop or hotel. Can Frances help me?

Absolutely! Frances has styled for hotels, home decor brands, shops and restaurants. Call her! She’d love to help your imagery stand out.

I have no social media game and need help. Can Frances help me style images for my social needs?

Of course. She loves to create imagery for the Gram, newsletters and any other social needs.

What does the day rate include?

The day rate includes Frances fee for styling and she’ll always bring a few key vases and accessories. The florals, plants and food props are not included in the day rate.

Do I need a prep day?

Most spaces benefit from a prep day though time and budget doesn’t always permit one. Frances will let you know after reviewing the space if needed.
